Overview
Placement opportunity at Pfizer involving colleagues across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Undergraduates will be responsible for, but not limited to, planning, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting analytics, presentation development and preparation, data validation, and report consolidation and submission. You will assist Finance leaders in providing financial management and analysis services.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and validating the accuracy of Financial Management Reports, including high-visibility reports to senior management such as Revenue and P&L Reporting.
- Involvement in Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting with preparation of variance/KPI reporting and system submission support.
- Data collection from internal Pfizer systems and external non-Pfizer sources as required.
- Root cause research to identify variances as manual accounting errors or legitimate business movements.
- Ensure productive collaboration between sub teams within the DS CoE Finance Team.
- Perform ad-hoc investigations and analytical reporting as required.
- Work with a variety of technologies, including different Pfizer financial systems and new technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and dashboarding tools.
- Involvement in team-based projects within the DS CoE Finance Team.
- Liaise with Business Unit leaders to confirm programme requirements.
- Manage job openings in the Applicant Recruitment Tracking System (PS Recruit).
- Create and maintain strong relationships with universities and launch external campaigns on websites and direct marketing to universities.
- Manage social media channels for undergraduate campaigns.
Knowledge and Motivation
- Completing placement as part of a University Degree, either through Year In Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong Maths and English skills.
- Self-assurance to liaise with Pfizer personnel at all levels.
- Ability to generate creative and innovative ideas.
- Enthusiastic and pro-active approach.
- IT literacy, in particular knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
