The Enterprise Platforms & Security (EP&S) team delivers capabilities for Pfizer, supporting enterprise applications and critical business processes. EP&S secures Pfizer's important information assets through world-class controls and protections, enabling business results by making security an enabler.

The Sr. Associate, Cybersecurity Analytics will be a key contributor in the Cybersecurity Analytics team, providing big data capabilities, visualizations, advanced analytics, requirements consultancy, and subject matter expertise to protect Pfizer from the evolving cyber threat landscape. This role has a data science focus (cyber data & analytics) and will collaborate closely with the Global Information Security organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Support analytics and predictive modeling projects using data mining, statistical methods, and machine learning techniques on massive data sources to solve real cybersecurity use cases.
  • Develop and improve existing ways of merging petabyte-scale data sources to understand interactions within cybersecurity logs.
  • Assist teams in Global Information Security to understand necessary data sources and their analysis.
  • Be a Splunk, Google Chronicle, and analytics expert, assisting other teams and junior colleagues.
  • Design new visualizations to make descriptive analyses more intuitive and informative.
  • Execute periodic review functions to ensure services operate as designed and identify inaccuracies in support documentation.
  • Develop and execute project plans to implement analytics improving Pfizer’s global cybersecurity posture.
  • Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment with a collaborative mindset.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering; MS preferred.
  • Entry-level experience in the analytics field.
  • Willingness to contribute fresh and innovative ideas.
  • High technical aptitude; ability to quickly learn new skills.
  • Team-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Data science (cyber data & analytics).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Entry-level experience in Splunk, Google Chronicle, working with petabyte-scale data analysis, Python, and cybersecurity.
  • A basic understanding of network infrastructure and cybersecurity tools.

Work Location Assignment: Sandwich (Kent, UK) with working flexibility options.
