The Colleague Engagement Lead is responsible for driving engagement across key areas of priority for UK colleagues including our culture, values, events, UKMF engagement sponsored initiatives, site operations and any associated communications linked to these priorities. This role will partner closely with the UKMF and key enabling functions to ensure colleague engagement is focused on our UK enterprise‑wide priorities and ensure that colleagues are informed, engaged, and motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Embed Our Values: Champion our values and work to embed them throughout everything we do across the UK organization. Ensure that Pfizer\’s values and behaviours are brought to life to create an amazing workplace for all and a culture that embraces agility, simplicity and colleague wellness.
  • Foster a Positive Work Culture: Ensure we \’Unleash the power of our people\’ and create an engaging culture underpinned by our values and behaviours. Organize and manage employee engagement activities and events to foster a positive work culture. This oversight of programs includes Moments of Joy, culture building events, recognition programs, and other initiatives to boost morale and collaboration.
  • Lead Site Operations: Lead and manage in partnership with GWE and others the experience and engagement at Walton Oaks and for field and remote workers with the aim of facilitating a work environment and destination where colleagues want to come to connect, collaborate, and co‑create. Key areas of focus include community and pride, everyday flexibility, creating a great place to work together, wellbeing and colleague experience and collaboration.
  • Strategic Engagement Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive engagement strategies, including local rollout of global initiatives in partnership with PX, to support organizational goals and initiatives. This includes creating communication plans for various projects, campaigns, and events.
  • Colleague Engagement Events: Lead the development of key colleague engagement events to build a culture that supports our company purpose including national events.
  • Associated Content Creation: Produce engaging and informative supporting collateral, such as newsletters, intranet, emails, and social media platforms. Ensure that all content aligns with the company\’s values and messaging.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders (People Experience, DBOs, External Comms, PP&A, Finance etc). Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand interdependent engagement needs and provide support.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from colleagues through surveys, focus groups, and other methods to assess the effectiveness of engagement efforts. Use this feedback to continuously improve the colleague experience.
  • Support Change Management: Develop and implement change plans to ensure timely and accurate communication and engagement during restructuring and transformation, as well as emergencies or critical situations. Provide guidance and support to colleagues during these events.
  • Experience in Employee Engagement: Demonstrable experience in leading or significantly contributing to engagement activities within a large, complex organization.
  • Event Management: Proven track record of planning, organising, and delivering successful engagement events, from conception to execution.
  • Content Development: Strong ability to produce and edit high‑impact written, visual, and digital materials for various internal channels.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working collaboratively with diverse internal teams, senior leaders, and external partners.
  • Strategic Planning: Experience developing and executing engagement strategies that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Operational Coordination: Proven ability to oversee and coordinate initiatives across multiple locations/physical sites, ensuring consistency and alignment with colleague engagement objectives.
  • Facilities Management Awareness: Practical knowledge of workplace facilities and environments, including how site amenities and resources can support engagement and well‑being.
  • Health, Safety, and Well‑being: Understanding of health and safety standards, policies, and practices to create a supportive and safe environment for all colleagues.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Science Sector: Familiarity with the unique needs and regulatory environments of these industries.
  • Project Management Certification or Experience: Formal training or significant experience in project management methodologies.
  • Experience with Change Management: Supporting initiatives through organizational change or transformation.
  • Use of Digital Platforms: Experience leveraging intranet, collaboration tools, and social enterprise platforms for engagement.
