Full-time, permanent Registered General Nurse (RGN) Full-Time, Permanent | Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland A brief description of the role An enthusiastic Registered General Nurse (RGN) is needed to work in a low‑security setting caring with mental health diagnoses and/or learning disabilities. As part of a multidisciplinary team across both main services and step‑down services, you will play a key role in supporting patients’ recovery, wellbeing, and independence. Roles and responsibilities In accordance with NMC standards, provide safe and high‑quality nursing care to patients. Develop, plan, and implement an individualized care plan in partnership with patients, their families, and caregivers. Promote dignity, choice, and wellbeing for the patient by serving as the patient’s named nurse. Observe, monitor, and evaluate the patient’s needs and progress. Promote independence by providing therapeutic activities and day‑to‑day support. Document and maintain accurate records. Maintain an active NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN). Have at least one year of working experience as a nurse post‑NMC registration. Show knowledge of NMC guidelines and commitment to ongoing professional development.
