About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Home Manager (Nursing) to support the effective management and clinical leadership within a modern, purpose-built care home in Aylesbury. You will work closely with the Home Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and team performance. This role is ideal for a registered nurse with strong leadership skills who is passionate about quality care and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager in leading, motivating, and developing the care and nursing team.
- Oversee care delivery, ensuring all residents' needs are assessed and met in line with best practice.
- Manage staff rotas, recruitment, induction, and ongoing training.
- Monitor performance, address concerns, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Promote a culture of person-centred care, dignity, and respect for residents.
- Contribute to occupancy management, financial oversight, and service improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation, audits, and communication with residents, families, and external professionals.
About You
- Active NMC PIN and experience in a senior nursing or team leader role within elderly care.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and willingness to work towards Level 4/5.
- Proven management experience in a multidisciplinary care setting.
- Confident decision-maker with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities while ensuring a caring, supportive environment for both residents and staff.
