Type: Permanent, Onsite role

Full time: 40 hours (Mon - Fri from 8:30am - 5pm)

Location: Brighton. You must be located within a 90-minute radius of the site to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

As a Functional Assessor, you will interview claimants to understand the challenges they face. You will carry out detailed assessments through telephone, video, or face-to-face appointments to determine how a claimant’s disability, condition, or illness affects their ability to carry out everyday activities in a respectful, fair, and reassuring manner.

With proven experience of working within a medical background, you will:

  • Analyse information critically to create accurate and concise reports.
  • Interpret clinical information and evidence.
  • Maintain professional standards in written communication and adherence to code of conduct.
  • Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.

Qualifications

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (listed below).
  • An ability to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge.

Essential Qualifications

  • Current experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office is essential.
  • A recognised qualification as a registered healthcare professional.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Membership with the relevant professional body, where applicable.
  • A minimum of 12 months’ post-qualification clinical experience.
  • Evidence of eligibility to practise in the UK.
