Are you a Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Paramedic seeking a new and meaningful way to apply your clinical expertise? At PFAS, we are looking for dedicated and motivated healthcare professionals to join our team as Functional Assessors. You’ll receive full training and have the opportunity to grow into roles such as Clinical Coach, Trainer, or Clinical Manager. As a Functional Assessor, you will work autonomously with individuals applying for both the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Work Capability Assessment (WCA) benefit as part of the DWPs Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS). This will involve holding consultations and writing fair and accurate reports. Salary and Employment Details

Salary: £40,000
Type: Permanent (Hybrid role)
Full time: 40 hours (Mon – Fri 8:30 – 5pm)
Locations: Redhill, Eastbourne, Brighton, Norwich, Croydon, Colchester, Ipswich, Great Yarmouth, and Bury St. Edmunds. Must be located within a 90‑minute radius of either site to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze information critically to create accurate and concise reports.
  • Interpret clinical information and evidence.
  • Maintain professional standards in written communication and adherence to code of conduct.
  • Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (listed below)
  • An ability to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge.
  • Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office.

Essentials Qualifications (without These Your Application Cannot Be Considered)

Nurses

  • Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only)
  • Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN)

Physios/OTs

  • Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist
  • Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT’s (COT)

Paramedics

  • BSc or Qualified Paramedic
  • Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
