Overview (Onsite role) (Mon - Fri from 8:30am - 5pm)

Salary: £40,000.00

Type: Permanent (Onsite role)

Full time: 40 hours (Mon - Fri from 8:30am - 5pm)

Location: Eastbourne. You MUST be located within a 90-minute radius of the site to be considered for this role.

As a Functional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in interviewing claimants to understand the challenges they face. You will carry out detailed assessments through telephone, video, or face-to-face appointments to understand how a claimant's disability, condition, or illness affects their ability to carry out everyday activities in a respectful, fair, and reassuring manner.

Responsibilities

  • Interview claimants to understand the challenges they face.
  • Carry out detailed assessments through telephone, video, or face-to-face appointments.
  • Understand how a claimant's disability, condition, or illness affects their ability to carry out everyday activities in a respectful, fair, and reassuring manner.
  • Analyse information critically to create accurate and concise reports.
  • Interpret clinical information and evidence.
  • Maintain professional standards in written communication and adherence to code of conduct.
  • Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.

Requirements / Essentials Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (listed below).
  • An ability to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge.
  • Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office.

Essentials Qualifications (without These Your Application Cannot Be Considered)

  • Nurses: Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only), Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).
  • Physios/OTs: Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist, Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT's (COT).
  • Paramedics: BSc or Qualified Paramedic, Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
