Location: Eastbourne. (You MUST be located within a 90-minute radius of the site to be considered for this role)
Role Overview: As a Functional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in interviewing claimants to understand the challenges they face. You will carry out detailed assessments through telephone, video, or face-to-face appointments to understand how a claimant's disability, condition, or illness affects their ability to carry out everyday activities in a respectful, fair, and reassuring manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse information critically to create accurate and concise reports.
- Interpret clinical information and evidence.
- Maintain professional standards in written communication and adherence to code of conduct.
- Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.
Candidate Profile: We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (listed below).
- An ability to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge.
Essential Qualifications:
- Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office.
- A recognised qualification as a registered healthcare professional.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Membership with the relevant professional body, where applicable.
- A minimum of 12 months' post-qualification clinical experience.
- Evidence of eligibility to practise in the UK. Applications cannot be considered without these.
