Position

As a Disability Assessor, you will play a crucial role in interviewing claimants to understand the challenges they face. By completing thorough assessments and examinations via telephone, video call, or face‑to‑face, you will assess how our claimant’s disability/condition/illness impacts their functional ability on daily activities in a respectful, non‑biased and reassuring manner.

Guildford. (You MUST be located within a 90-minute radius of the site to be considered for this role)

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse information critically to create accurate and concise reports.
  • Interpret clinical information and evidence.
  • Maintain professional standards in written communication and adherence to code of conduct.
  • Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • A minimum of 12 months of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional.
  • An ability to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge.
  • Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office.

Essentials Qualifications

Nurses:

  • Qualified Nurse RGN, or RMN/RNLD
  • Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN)

Physios/OTs:

  • Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist
  • Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT’s (COT)

Experience we look for

  • Minimum of 12 months HCPC or NMC experience.
  • Orthopaedic experience (acute and elective).
  • Pre‑assessment experience (surgical/orthopaedic).
  • Experience working with patients with both mental health and physical problems and neurological settings.
  • Broad range of experience in different areas to have more clinical knowledge.
  • Worked in ITU units.
