Location: Colchester. You must be located within a 90-minute radius of the site to be considered for this role. Hybrid role, Mon - Fri from 8:30am - 5pm. Salary up to £41,612.00. Type: Permanent. Full time: 40 hours (Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 5pm).
Responsibilities
As a Functional Assessor, you will interview claimants to understand the challenges they face. You will carry out detailed assessments through telephone, video, or face-to-face appointments to understand how a claimant's disability, condition, or illness affects their ability to carry out everyday activities in a respectful, fair, and reassuring manner. You will:
- Analyse information critically to create accurate and concise reports.
- Interpret clinical information and evidence.
- Maintain professional standards in written communication and adherence to code of conduct.
- Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.
Requirements / Qualifications
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (listed below).
- An ability to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge.
- Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office.
Essentials Qualifications (without These Your Application Cannot Be Considered)
- Nurses: Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only). Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).
- Physios/OTs: Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist. Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT's (COT).
- Paramedics: BSc or Qualified Paramedic. Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
