ESCAPE THE LONDON GRIND - Leading General Manager role in Norfolk thriving restaurant scene. A stone’s throw from the beach and framed by salt marshes and big skies, The Ship in Brancaster is the second Norfolk pub opening from the team behind the much-loved, award-winning Sculthorpe Mill. First established in 1790, the historic coastal inn has reopened last year to begin a new chapter as a relaxed, food-focused pub with rooms. It is a busy pub/restaurant with rooms, with great outdoor space right on the coast.

We are looking for a forward-thinking, hardworking individual, who has the personal skills to lead this business with hospitality and service at its core. It is a destination pub, building a reputation for great food, interesting drinks and outstanding friendly service based on warm, knowledgeable and generous hospitality.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Experience of working at a General Manager level in a similar high quality, casual fine dining, restaurants/pub with rooms environment.
  • Sound understanding and appreciation of great food, wines and drinks, so you can inspire the team to deliver the best.
  • Have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, managing costs and achieving food GP.
  • Be commercially minded with a strong financial acumen.
  • Have strong leadership skills in order to recruit, train, motivate and develop your team.
  • Complete understanding of Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and licensing. Ideally Personal License Holder.
