Pexip has an engineering-centric culture with an uncompromising focus on software quality; we use CI and test automation and have a quality assurance ethos that we are immensely proud of! We are looking for a talented, experienced Software Engineer to join our engineering group, working within our Platform team. As a member of our team, you will be working alongside engineers based in both the UK and Norway and sharing responsibility for the continuous development and improvement of our platform. This is not a remote role, although there is some flexibility to work from home when it is needed.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have a strong desire to make a positive contribution to our core products, while upholding our shared commitment to maintaining high quality through good engineering practices.
- Experience using Python in automation of system administration tasks on Linux-based platforms
- Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals
- Experience of debugging problems in software written in various languages (e.g. C, Python, Rust)
- Experience with system deployment techniques for one or more of AWS, GCP, Azure
- Experience with one or more Linux distribution package management systems
