Remote Project Manager (Insurance) - 6 month FTC in Reading

This role is initially a 6‑month fixed‑term contract with a strong possibility of becoming permanent. The successful candidate will lead a range of projects across PEXA with a focus on the insurance sector and contract law. They will act as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring project delivery meets stakeholder expectations and drives a first‑class customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and manage projects in accordance with the UK Change Framework.
  • Support the streamlining and standardisation of project methodology and artefacts to foster speed, clarity and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with business case creation, securing stakeholder buy‑in and understanding key objectives and requirements.
  • Ensure all changes align with PEXA UK’s strategic direction to avoid re‑work and future debt.
  • Set, monitor and measure critical success metrics throughout the project to realise and celebrate benefits.
  • Provide regular communications and reporting to appropriate audiences.
  • Plan and deliver business readiness activities where required.
  • Work with the UK Support Team on training, knowledge, policy, process and procedure alignment.
  • Collaborate with outsourced providers to deliver flexible, seamless, virtual changes.
  • Engage with key internal stakeholders to determine requirements, design and delivery frequency.
  • Capture and implement key project lessons at closure to embed learning in the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the insurance sector, delivering change projects that involve contract law, CLC or SRA insurers.
  • Professional project management experience using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proven adherence to project standards and frameworks.
  • Track record of managing multiple complex deliveries.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships.
  • Highly organised with an articulate, creative and positive attitude.
  • Strong time‑management and a collaborative team‑player mindset.
  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal and visual.

Desirable

  • Experience of the UK mortgage process with a lender or conveyancer.
  • Understanding of UK mortgage regulation and compliance.
  • Experience working with external customers and outsourcing providers.

Remuneration

£50,000 – £70,000 per year.
