As a Workplace Technology Engineer at PEXA UK you will play a key role in maintaining, enhancing and supporting our modern digital workplace environment. You will work closely with the Lead Workplace Technology Engineer and a small, agile team managing Microsoft-based end-user services and integrated collaboration platforms. This role combines strong hands-on technical capability with day-to-day operational ownership. You will be responsible for ensuring that systems are secure, stable, compliant, and optimized for user productivity and experience. You will be the technical contact for implementation and support activities, contributing to projects when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Operations & Support: Provide second and third line technical support for end-user services and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), under the guidance of senior engineers. Assist with incident resolution and troubleshooting across endpoints, identity, and collaboration tools, escalating complex issues as required. Support device provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management using Apple Business Manager, Windows Autopilot, Intune, and ServiceNow. Assist with routine device compliance tasks, including patching, updates, and configuration checks. Support endpoint security tooling such as Palo Alto Global Protect VPN, Cortex XDR, BitLocker, and Conditional Access policies. Help administer and support collaboration and productivity platforms including Slack, Zoom, Miro, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Support hardware logistics, including device setup, asset tagging, replacements, and secure disposal processes. Contribute to the creation and upkeep of user guides, FAQs, and basic technical documentation.
  • Automation & Integration: Support the configuration and maintenance of Entra ID, Intune, and hybrid Active Directory environments under supervision. Assist with integrating Microsoft 365 services with third-party SaaS platforms such as Okta, Zoom, Jira, and ServiceNow. Learn and contribute to automation and scripting tasks (e.g. PowerShell or Microsoft Graph) for user provisioning, reporting, and routine maintenance. Participate in testing and piloting new Microsoft 365 and endpoint management features before wider rollout.
  • Governance, Compliance & Documentation: Follow established governance, security, and compliance standards for workplace technologies. Assist in maintaining technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks, ensuring they remain accurate and up to date. Support identity and access management processes, including MFA, Conditional Access, and user lifecycle tasks.
  • Collaboration & Project Delivery: Work closely with Senior and Lead Workplace Technology Engineers on operational tasks and project delivery. Collaborate with the IT Support function to ensure smooth handover, escalation, and resolution of incidents. Participate in regional and global workplace technology initiatives, gaining exposure to best practices and standards. Support hybrid meeting room technology, office AV equipment, and end-user hardware setups as part of the workplace experience.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Essential: Proven hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 and Intune environments at scale. Knowledge of Windows Autopilot, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and AVD management. Proficient in troubleshooting across endpoint, network, and identity layers. Experience managing hybrid AD and Entra ID environments, including GPO and directory sync.
