PEXA is seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Account Engagement (SFMC + MCAE) Manager to own and optimise our end-to-end marketing automation capability across the UK business. This is a hands-on role spanning Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot), responsible for designing, executing, and continuously improving data-driven customer journeys across the full lifecycle - from acquisition and onboarding to nurture, retention, and cross-sell. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, IT and Salesforce Operations to deliver joined-up, insight-led customer experiences at scale.
What you’ll do
- Platform ownership & strategy
- Own the day-to-day operation and evolution of SFMC and MCAE
- Define and deliver the marketing automation and journey roadmap
- Act as the SME, embedding best practice and driving platform adoption
- Journey design & execution
- Design and optimise multi-step journeys using Journey Builder (SFMC) and Engagement Studio (MCAE)
- Build automations for segmentation, triggers, and data management
- Translate marketing strategies into personalised lifecycle communications
- Data, integration & CRM alignment
- Own integrations across SFMC, MCAE, Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud, and the PEXA website
- Maintain data quality, lifecycle alignment, and audience models
- Partner with Salesforce Operations on data models and enhancements
- Measurement & optimisation
- Define KPIs and success measures across journeys and campaigns
- Deliver reporting on engagement, conversion, and pipeline impact
- Lead testing and optimisation to continuously improve performance
- Governance & enablement
- Own consent, deliverability, data hygiene, QA, and documentation
- Create templates, playbooks, and reusable journey frameworks
- Train and support marketing users across both platforms
What you’ll bring
- Required
- 5–8 years’ experience in marketing automation, CRM, or lifecycle marketing
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio)
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Engagement Studio, automation rules, lead scoring)
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end customer journeys
- Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM integration and data models
- Analytical mindset with a focus on optimisation and performance
- Confident communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Desirable
- Experience in complex or regulated environments
- Service Cloud or post-sale journey experience
- Exposure to automation strategy or centre-of-excellence models
