What to expect:
- Vacuum all the rooms in the home.
- Wash down tables and wipe down all chairs and paint surfaces.
- Dust all furnishings and light fittings, damp dust as required.
- Empty all dustbins and ensure household waste is placed in black plastic bags.
- Empty floral arrangements from residents’ rooms and leave rooms neat and clean.
- Anything contaminated with body fluids (i.e., soiled pads, soiled dressing) are to be placed in yellow bags and disposed of in yellow bins provided outside the Home.
- Attend staff meetings regularly and participate in training as requested.
- Communicate and coordinate with colleagues as necessary.
- Contribute to team effort.
- Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication.
- Be familiar with fire procedures and attend fire drills and training as requested.
- Comply with the Health and Safety Policy and attend training sessions as requested.
