We’re looking for a passionate and capable Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and forward-thinking team at Petwell House Vets, a proudly independent small animal clinic based in Hayes, Middlesex. At Petwell House, we believe in doing things differently. Our clinic is fully equipped with digital x-ray, a comprehensive in-house laboratory, and all the tools you need to deliver gold-standard care. With a varied and interesting surgical and medical caseload, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop your clinical skills and get fully involved in all aspects of nursing. You’ll be working alongside skilled veterinary care assistants all with strong veterinary training backgrounds, as well as a dedicated full-time receptionist who helps keep our day-to-day running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary nurses in providing care to animals, including feeding, watering, cleaning, walking and monitoring the well-being.
- Assist veterinarians and nurses with pet restraint for procedures or anesthesia induction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clinic, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored.
- Monitor animal health and report any changes to the veterinary staff.
- Prepare laboratory samples and assist in conducting diagnostic tests as needed.
- Provide compassionate support to pet owners and educate them on basic animal care.
This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week). Previous experience in small animal practice is essential.
