Job Description

Are you a Quantity Surveyor (M&E bias) seeking a new role with a progressive business who will truly value your input?

We are delighted to be working with one of the most prominent suppliers of home renewables energy in Scotland. Our client has built on their success with customers in EV home charging, commercial charge installation and Solar PV and battery storage. As they continue to move forward into this exciting and expanding market they are looking to add this crucial Quantity Surveyor role to their team.

As their sole Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in overseeing projects, working closely with clients and senior management, key responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the projects commercial strategies, taking ownership of subcontract packages.
  • Leading and assisting on various projects from a commercial standpoint.
  • Focussing on the issuing of tender enquiries, package reconciliations and production of subcontract orders.
  • Conducting valuations and final accounts for projects as required.
  • Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets for projects.
  • Managing subcontractor and supplier negotiations.

Key skills we are looking for that compliment this role:

  • Strong knowledge in Quantity Surveying with exposure to mechanical or electrical disciplines.
  • Solid understanding of cost planning, measurement, and valuations.
  • Some knowledge of the renewables industry particualry solar (desirable).
  • Full driving license.
