The Role: As Engineer, you will provide essential technical support across the business, ensuring developments progress smoothly from land acquisition through to construction. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of high-quality residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Land and Commercial teams to ensure seamless information flow.
- Prepare detailed site viability reports aligned with current residential development regulations.
- Review drawings and technical details for accuracy, compliance and commercial suitability.
- Liaise with external consultants, ensuring all deadlines and technical requirements are met.
- Secure statutory approvals for Engineering Design and Ground Investigation.
- Attend site visits and project meetings to identify and resolve emerging technical issues.
- Participate in design meetings with highways authorities and planners to establish council requirements.
- Lead on tender and pre-start engineering documentation, assessing viability of each project.
- Monitor and integrate upcoming regulatory changes into future plans and designs.
- Support the Engineering Manager in obtaining fee proposals from specialist consultants.
- Provide ongoing technical and administrative support to on-site teams.
- Ensure technical approvals are obtained in line with programmed site start dates.
- Work with the Central Design Team to develop new products and research build systems that support future legislation and market trends.
