Job Description

Are you a Joiner to trade with experience in housebuilding and customer care?

We are working with one of the leading brands in the industry as they invest in their customer service team with the addition of a Maintenance Joiner. The core objective of this role is to deliver high-quality aftercare to homeowners and deliver seamless repairs with minimal disruption.

As Maintenance Joiner, you will work as a key part of their customer care team and travel as needed between their developments across Scotland, carrying out remedial repairs on occupied properties as required.

The role is primarily hands on with a few administrative duties, much of your day will be spent between appointments booked for you in customers’ homes, building rapport with clients and using your trade skills to fix remedial defects in a timely fashion.

Given the nature and scope of the role, this post would suit someone from a joinery background who has the ability and flair to undertake a mixed and varied scope of remedial works and may even have worked on new build homes in previous roles (although not essential).

Successful candidates should display the following criteria:

  • Comfortable in people’s homes is essential given the nature of this role.
  • Have a joinery qualification.
  • Proficient in all areas of maintenance, inclusive of but not limited to: Joinery, Sealant Works, Plaster Boards, fitting of all external & internal doors.
  • Capable of using their own initiative to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Comfortable communicating verbally and by email and liaising with the sub-contractor network.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate great communication skills in a similar customer care role and have an out-going personality to work closely with their client base and site management staff.
