Handyperson – Perth Salary: Competitive hourly rate & overtime Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: 7:30am – 4pm or 8am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Are you a multi skilled Handyperson looking for a new role with an established local maintenance contractor in the Perthshire area? We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyperson with a strong background in joinery work to join a well established client based just outside of Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks across our properties / sites, with a particular focus on delivering high-quality internal and external joinery repairs, decorating, and finishing work. Key Responsibilities: Perform a range of general duties including basic plumbing, carpentry, joinery, and minor repairs. Carry out all aspects of painting and decorating, including: Surface preparation (filling, sanding, priming), Internal and external painting, Wallpapering and feature wall work. Touch-ups and snagging. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, ensuring minimal disruption to clients or residents. Identify and report any larger maintenance issues requiring specialist contractors. Carry out regular inspections and respond to maintenance requests promptly. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations. Liaise with tenants, clients, or site contacts in a professional and courteous manner. Keep accurate records of work completed, including materials used and time spent. Requirements: Strong painting and decorating skills, with a keen eye for detail and finish. Good general maintenance skills across multiple trades (particularly in joinery). Ability to work independently and manage own workload. Excellent problem-solving skills. A proactive and flexible approach to work. Full UK driving licence. Desirable skills: Experience working in residential, commercial, or facilities management environments.
