Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor in the Glasgow area looking for a new opportunity with a leading housebuilder? We are working with a well-established housebuilder based in Glasgow who, due to continued growth and a strong land pipeline, is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team across upcoming developments.
This role will suit a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys being involved early in the lifecycle of projects and wants exposure to land coming through the pipeline, from pre-start through to delivery.
The Role:- Assisting with the commercial management of residential developments across the West of Scotland.
- Supporting cost planning and budgeting for new sites as land progresses through the pipeline.
- Preparing and managing subcontractor procurement and tender analysis.
- Assisting with valuations, cost reporting and final accounts.
- Working closely with Land, Technical and Construction teams at pre-start and live site stages.
- Supporting the Commercial Manager / Senior QS with day-to-day commercial duties.
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS within residential housebuilding or PQS environment.
- Understanding of cost control, subcontract procurement and site-based commercial processes.
- An interest in being involved earlier in the development lifecycle, including land and pre-construction stages.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Degree-qualified or working towards relevant commercial qualifications (preferred but not essential).
