Are you an experienced Contracts Manager ready to take ownership of a variety of fit out and building refurbishment projects across several sectors across the Northeast of Scotland? We’re partnering with a well established and growing contractor to appoint a Contracts Manager based in Dundee. This is a key position within the business, offering the opportunity to oversee multiple live projects while playing a central role in maintaining high delivery standards and building strong client relationships.
The Role:
This role offers real variety and autonomy. You’ll manage a range of projects, primarily commercial and local authority, across the Northeast, typically valued between £50,000 and £1.8M. Some projects will be supported by Site Managers, while others will require a more hands on approach, giving you the chance to balance strategic oversight with on the ground coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple live projects (typically 3 – 4 at any one time).
- Delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate subcontractors and oversee site activity where required.
- Collaborate closely with Site Managers on larger scale projects.
- Carry out measurements and support commercial oversight.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout each project lifecycle.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role within construction or fit-out.
- Principal contractor experience essential.
- Joinery background would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of commercial fit-out projects.
- Confident managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to operate both strategically and hands on when needed.
- Excellent communication, coordination and organisational skills.
