Sen’s mission is to stream real-time videos from space to billions of people, providing unique perspectives of our ever-changing world and future in space. We have already deployed our first video cameras in Low Earth Orbit and are now scaling our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely within a small multidisciplinary team to develop and own new sub-systems and PCB assemblies from concept through to flight.
- Lead electronic design of analogue and digital circuits to support high resolution video camera systems including power supplies, data/control interfaces, microcontrollers, image sensors, FPGAs, flash storage, memory and high-speed serial links.
- Perform component selection, analysis, simulation, prototyping, schematic capture, board layout, bring-up, debug, test and verification.
- Coordinate fabrication and assembly as well as environmental and electromagnetic test and qualification of electronic prototypes and flight hardware with external subcontractors.
- Produce and maintain design documentation, assembly/test instructions and reports.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering or other relevant field.
- 7+ years of electronic design experience from concept through to production.
- Strong proficiency with electronics design, layout and simulation CAD.
- Experience with hardware debugging at a circuit level and electronic test equipment.
- Familiarity with systems designed for high reliability or harsh environments in automotive, aerospace, defence or other industries favoured but not required.
- Knowledge of interfaces and circuit elements: I2C, SPI, RS422, Ethernet, MIPI/CSI-2, LVDS, USB, PCIe, SMPS, LDO, Current Monitoring, MOSFETs and power switching.
- Understanding of computers and basic programming experience.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Working Arrangements and Benefits:
- 40 hours per week minimum.
- Pension: in addition to the legally required salary sacrifice that each employee makes, Sen pays an amount equal to 6% of salary into the employee’s pension.
