Legal & IP Manager in Preston

Job Title: Part-Time Legal Counsel (IP & Commercial Contracts)

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire

Commitment: 1–2 days per week

We’re looking for an experienced legal professional to join us on a part-time basis (1–2 days per week) as our standalone legal advisor. This role is ideal for someone seeking flexibility while managing high-impact legal work. You’ll oversee all legal matters within the business, with a strong focus on intellectual property and commercial contracts.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and manage IP strategy and portfolio.
• Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, supply/distribution, and licensing agreements.
• Ensure compliance with UK IP laws and industry standards.
• Provide commercial advice to cross-functional teams.
• Deliver training and maintain governance frameworks.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified solicitor or UK IP attorney (5+ years PQE).
• Strong experience in IP and commercial contracts.
• Excellent drafting skills and commercial awareness.
• FMCG/manufacturing sector experience preferred.
