The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Shift work: 4 on 4 off days/nights, 12 hour shift 6am/6pm - 6pm/6am. Although we have a 24/7 shift pattern there are no Saturday nights on schedule. Saturday day shift is only 8 hours, giving you more weekend time off compared to a normal 24/7 pattern!

FMCG food manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the shift Team Leader, you will work closely with the Factory Manager and Production Managers to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid production disruption.

  • Liaise with the Engineering Manager and Senior Engineer to ensure the supply of appropriate parts.
  • Minimise the amount of downtime suffered by the site following machine breakdowns.
  • Comply with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Champion H&S matters as delegated by the Engineering Manager.
  • Champion building maintenance as directed by the Engineering Manager.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers to deliver a quality service to production.
  • Strong Electrical and Mechanical knowledge and ability on Food processing machinery.
  • Competent in building electrical control systems from switchgear through to software implementation.
  • Engineering apprenticeship and associated qualifications such as BTEC ONC, HNC, HND in Electrical Engineering is essential.
  • Have a proven track record in an Engineering and fault-finding role gained from within a FMCG environment.
  • Drive Root Cause Analysis and strive to prevent re-occurrence with counter measures.
  • Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical engineering.
  • PLC fault finding.
  • Ability to deploy and execute the preventative maintenance strategy for the site.
  • Passionate about quality and best practice whilst driving continuous improvement.
