Overview of the Role
We are seeking an ambitious Graduate Sales Coordinator to join our team at our Head Office in Blackburn.
This is an exciting opportunity to begin your sales career in a fast‑paced and supportive environment. As a Graduate Internal Sales Coordinator, you will support the growth of the independent pet trade channel through proactive outbound telephone calls to existing, and prospective customers. You will overall build strong relationships, generate sales opportunities and ensure excellent service and support across the customer base.
You will receive training and ongoing support, giving you the tools to develop and succeed.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of existing independent pet trade customers via telephone and email
- Proactively contact new and lapsed customers to generate new business opportunities
- Drive sales growth through upselling, cross‑selling and promoting the Pets Choice product portfolio
- Build strong, lasting relationships with customers to support retention and repeat business
- Support promotional activity and product launches through targeted calling campaigns
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently in line with company procedures
- Maintain up‑to‑date customer records, call notes and activity within CRM systems
- Support Area Sales Managers and Account Managers to maintain their territory and account plans
- Resolve customer queries and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor market activity and provide feedback on customer needs and competitor activity
Skills, experience and qualifications required
- Business or similar degree and/or the desire to step into a commercial role
- Previous experience in customer facing role
- Strong communication skills with confidence in building relationships over the phone
- Results‑driven with a proactive and positive approach to sales
- Good organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment
- Shows a strong commitment to continuous improvement and actively identifies opportunities for growth.
- A full clean Driving Licence
- Based at Blackburn Head Office
- Experience within pet industry or working with independent retailers
