At Pets, our aim is to give the nation's pets what they need to be at their best. We are motivated to find the best talent in the Logistics & Distribution industry. We are currently looking for a Transport Clerk to join our Transport Team at our Fulfilment Centre in Stafford.

The Role

The Transport Clerk will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our transport office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively with HGV drivers, driver mates, third parties, and office colleagues.
  • Managing outbound loads, generating driver paperwork, issuing work/journey assignments, conducting pre-briefs, completing de-briefs, investigating route or time discrepancies, and escalating issues to a manager.
  • Recording and reporting information for safe and efficient delivery operations. Maintaining accurate systems for maximum effectiveness.
  • Sharing information across shifts and escalating issues professionally to shift managers.
  • Monitoring outbound loads to ensure timely deliveries and communicating delays promptly.
  • Providing administrative support to Transport Coordinators.
  • Reporting trends, patterns, and concerns to managers.
  • Building trust-based relationships across the operation.
  • Keeping workstations clean and tidy.
