About us

We’re a thriving practice with a well-established team including 13 Vets, 17 RVNs, 7 SVNs and 12 Receptionists across two branches at Romford Gallows Vets for Pets and Romford Vets for Pets. Our spacious surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including 2 dedicated operating theatres, ultrasound, in house laboratory and digital radiographs. We also have a full endoscopy unit, access to CT in one of the branches and are continually looking to invest in the best to improve the services that we can offer to our clients. Our location offers free on-site parking as well as fantastic transport links into central London in just 25 minutes and out to the Essex countryside within 20 minutes.

About you and the role

As Head RVN, you’ll play a vital leadership role within the practice. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day running of the nursing and VCA team
  • Acting as a role model for clinical excellence and professionalism
  • Supporting and developing individual team members’ skills and interests
  • Assisting with training, appraisals, and clinical audits
  • Helping to optimise workflow and improve efficiency
  • Being hands‑on clinically across theatre, inpatient care, nurse clinics, and consults

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys both clinical work and leadership and wants to be involved in the wider success of the practice. The position is full time, working 40 hours a week. You will also be required to work 1 in 4 weekends at our additional practice at Romford Vets for Pets.
