Assistant Stylist – Pets at Home
Location: 6, St Georges Retail Park, St Georges Way, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE 1 1SG
Hours: Part‑time – 24 contracted hours, Permanent contract type.

The Role
Our Assistant Stylists are critical to the success of our Pets Grooming salons. You will deliver the very highest standard of pet care while demonstrating a basic understanding of technical concepts related to preparing and clipping a dog for grooming, including handling techniques, equipment usage, and pre‑grooming preparation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the highest standard of pet care to every customer.
- Apply technical grooming skills including animal handling, equipment use, and pre‑grooming prep.
- Support customers and team members in a busy retail environment.
- Work flexible shift patterns across 6 days a week, closing on Sundays.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Passionate about delivering a great service.
- Flexible and able to work a shift pattern that may require additional hours during busy periods.
- Experience of working with, or handling dogs in a professional dog grooming or pet care environment is desirable, though not essential.
- Strong customer‑facing skills and preferably experience in a target‑driven environment.

- Attractive base pay plus commission, subject to targets.
- 28 days paid annual leave (increases to 33 days after 2 years), including bank holidays, pro‑rated to contracted hours.
