We are currently seeking a skilled Finance Accountant to join our team. This is a pivotal role that will contribute directly to our financial health and operational efficiency.
About the Role
As a Finance Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of accounting activities that ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records with meaningful insight and strong financial control across the Group. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver timely financial reporting, compliance, and budgeting support and enjoys taking ownership, building trusted relationships and using financial information to make a practical difference in the growth of the business. Someone who brings more than technical excellence and can translate numbers into insight to actively contribute to commercial decision making and challenging assumptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a key role in driving profitable growth by providing clear financial analysis, preparing monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reviews.
- Help deliver a smooth, accurate and timely month-end close, providing clear variance analysis and commentary for management review.
- Bring financial insight to project performance through profitability, gross margin and commercial reporting.
- Support accurate revenue recognition by reviewing accrued and deferred income.
- Manage intercompany charges, transfer pricing calculations and reconciliations across Group entities.
- Keep standard cost models, employee billable rates and charge-out structures accurate and up to date.
- Provide practical analysis and support for budgeting, forecasting, year-end audits and external reporting.
- Contribute ideas that strengthen financial controls, improve processes and make reporting more efficient.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential skills and experience
- A qualified or part-qualified accountant, or working towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong experience in financial accounting, including month-end close, journals, reconciliations and balance sheet review.
- Confident knowledge of accruals, prepayments, revenue recognition and intercompany accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP or integrated accounting systems.
- A detail-focused, organised approach, with the ability to analyse information, solve problems and meet deadlines.
- Desirable skills and experience
- Experience working in a multi-entity or Group finance environment.
- Knowledge of transfer pricing, project accounting or profitability reporting.
- Experience supporting payroll processing, finance systems or process improvements.
