DescriptionWe are hiring for an experienced analyst within our key Commercial Risk team, with a focus on supporting the Gas, LNG, Power & Emissions trading teams. This role offers exposure to all parts of the business, from partnering with the front office to various parts of the middle and back office, including Risk, Finance, Credit, IT and more.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily position and P&L reporting for Gas, Power, LNG, Emissions and FX teams, providing commentary on key value generators and changes.
Review trading books to ensure they are within Trading Delegations of Authority and that hedging is carried out correctly each day, including hedging of trading FX exposure.
Monitor traders\â exposures and adherence to Delegation of authorities and risk limits.
Perform daily hedge process as required.
Engage daily with relevant trading desks and other front/middle office departments to support business risk management requirements.
Provide regular commentary on book performance and strategy, showing clear understanding and control to a variety of audiences.
Provide management information and analysis as required and proactively seek to deliver businessâbeneficial commercial analysis.
Responsible for weekly/monthly/quarterly controls and input into financial close processes for the designated business area.
Support the wider team by utilizing crossâcover capabilities for other team members and to support overall team flexibility.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Degree level education, preferably in Business, Finance, Banking, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering, or with appropriate work experience.
Proven experience in an energy commodity, Gas, Power, LNG or Emissions risk or frontâoffice role.
Deep understanding of P&L attribution and valuation.
Understanding of standard risk measurement tools such as VAR, stress testing and options.
Commercial awareness with proven ability to contribute to new business initiatives and models.
Good communication skills, ability to interact with a variety of people; analytical and detailâoriented mindset.
Ability to maintain an independent approach and challenge where appropriate.
Proficiency in VBA, Python or SQL is desirable.
Knowledge of Endur/EOS will be beneficial.
