Petroineos Trading Limited is an international integrated energy trading company based in London, UK. The role is an Application Support Analyst reporting to the Application Support Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and functional support for IT managed applications to investigate and resolve production issues.
- Log and manage incidents through to resolution, including proactive communication with end users.
- Escalate and track issues to 3rd line support (internal and 3rd parties) and ensure resolution.
- Understand the level of service and availability associated with each system (SLAs) and strive to achieve this.
- Ensure releases and changes are adequately managed, correctly documented and have a sufficient roll‑back plan.
- Develop production support infrastructure, processes and procedures to improve quality of service.
- Define and maintain clear documentation explaining how to resolve key software issues and continually refine this documentation as products enter production use.
- Manage end‑of‑day application processes.
- Enter approved master data into systems following business approval.
- Provide support in fail‑over to disaster recovery environments.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
- Understanding of ETRM systems (preferably Openlink Endur, Amphora Symphony and/or Planlogic EoS).
- Understanding of core trading processes.
- Proven ability to work within a team and drive improvements.
- Adapt to and manage the changing priorities of the business, set realistic expectations and deliver to these expectations.
