About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Contracts Advisor to join our Supply Chain team, reporting to the General Manager (UK) with a dotted line to Corporate Supply Chain. This role is responsible for supporting ethical and well-controlled supply chain management across the UK entity. The successful candidate will lead commercial negotiations, support contract development, manage sourcing processes, and coordinate the timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational and project requirements. Acting as a trusted advisor and key business partner, you will play an important role in driving value, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with company policies, HSEQ standards, and UK regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate, negotiate, and administer complex (high-value/high-risk) contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, legal teams, suppliers, and vendors, acting as the key point of contact for escalations.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of contracting and procurement processes and long-term sourcing strategies.
- Support safe and reliable operations through contractor management and HSEQ activities.
- Review and improve contracting and purchasing procedures to enhance efficiency and alignment with operational needs.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with Supply Chain Management processes and company governance standards.
- Prepare, review, and monitor service contracts, ensuring accurate estimates, budget control, and cost allocation.
- Oversee and coordinate contracting and procurement activities across PNS, ensuring ethical and compliant delivery aligned with business objectives.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience within the energy or offshore oil & gas environments.
- Professional qualification (CIPS / NEVI or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of UK procurement law, contracting models, and regulatory requirements.
- Extensive experience managing complex, high-value, high-risk contracts.
- ERP system experience (SAP preferred).
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Experience leading or coordinating others within a supply chain or contracting environment.
