Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for engineering and construction function across all SNS Contracts
- Responsible for technical delivery assurance
- Responsible for recruitment for SNS Contracts
- Responsible for effective client interface on technical matters
- Responsible for continuous improvement across SNS Contracts
- Effective delivery and technical performance of teams on SNS contracts
- Delivery and technical performance across all SNS Contracts servicing projects and modifications
- Responsible Scope Receipt to ensure sufficient definition for successful execution of projects and modifications
- Take a risk based approach to which scopes will require additional governance on contract and ensure this is completed pulling in necessary functions
- Oversee Discipline Lead in the recruitment and management of technical personnel
- Assurance of competency of engineering and design personnel and a continual drive to raise standards of engineering team
- Governance of technical processes on contracts with a view to continually improve and strengthen these processes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and in-person meetings
- Provide technical input and support to proposals for projects and potential new modifications contracts and support Business Development Activities in region
- Strengthen link with offshore executions teams through end-to-end process from design to construction, collaboration workshops and regular site visits on and offshore
- Active participation in corporate improvements and strengthening link between the Great Yarmouth and other CB&I locations
- Indirect financial accountability for control of rates and engineering costs across the SNS Contracts
- Requires a high degree of ability to understand multidiscipline engineering activity across all disciplines along with its commercial impact on a project to ensure that the most valuable solution is delivered to the client
- A significant focus on the link between engineering and construction to ensure designs develop in a manner that supports efficient construction
- Requires a high degree of business knowledge to understand the client’s business position and business case that drives engineering and project activity
Essential Qualifications And Skills:
- A high level of multidiscipline engineering and technical knowledge relating to energy industries
- A strong background in delivery of brownfield modifications both offshore and onshore
- A high level of business knowledge relating to the business drivers that drive our clients’ activities and the links to CB&I Asset Solutions business capture and business performance
- An in depth knowledge of industry standards, technical processes and procedures that support delivery of modifications
- Engineering Degree in relevant subject
- Strong leader with advanced people management and coaching/development skills
- Background in Engineering discipline in a brownfield environment
- Strong and effective collaborator with the ability to negotiate solutions between conflicting priorities
- Ability and confidence to interact with senior leadership and clients at all levels
- Strong ability to influence at senior levels but also at engineering and graduate level
- A keen interest in graduate engineer development and an awareness of the requirements for Institute accredited training schemes
- Experience in project management and delivery
