JOB TITLE: SHIFT TEAM LEADER / OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

This post is based offshore on the Kittiwake on a 3/4/3/5 rota.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This is a 50/50 position covering two roles:
  • Shift Team Leader
  • Responsible for directing and coordinating activities to provide day-to-day leadership for the operations team, ensuring the process plant and systems are optimized to meet environmental and production targets.
  • Operations Supervisor.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary operations teams, liaising with clients on operational and production matters to ensure safe and efficient delivery of KPI targets.
  • This is a senior supervisory role, accountable for team performance.
  • Ensure all operational equipment for life support and safety systems are maintained and available.
  • Optimize system efficiency to meet production targets, coordinating with maintenance to align planned activities and minimize outages.
  • Liaise with client and onshore teams for operational optimization of topside and subsea equipment.
  • Audit and ensure timely, accurate data reporting to support production optimization and quality standards.
  • Maintain high standards for documentation, logs, and handovers.
  • Deliver 28-day and 7-day planning and maintenance activities, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Ensure quality in maintenance work order completion.
  • Coordinate verification testing with ICP, ensuring resources are available.
  • Act as focal point for operations area and projects, including permit review and validation, and act as permit coordinator.
  • Participate in onshore meetings, review modifications/work packs, and provide team appraisals and mentoring.
  • Stand in for OIM when required and ensure safety and compliance with all legislative and company standards.
  • Lead emergency response roles, including Deputy OIM and OIM as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety, legislative, and company policies, and strive for operational efficiency and cost savings.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Recognized apprenticeship, training scheme, or relevant degree.
  • Experience in hydrocarbon operations, preferably with multi-skilling.
  • OND/ONC/City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 3 management preferred.
  • SSOW Level 2 training or similar.
  • Proficiency with management systems like Maximo and spreadsheets.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
