This is a contract role for 12 months based in Great Yarmouth.
Key Responsibilities:- Follow the Petrofac Project Management Process in the management and discharge of Project activities.
- Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to the Petrofac values, including excellent HSSE and quality performance.
- Maintain active development and involvement as a member of Petrofac's Project Management Academy and Centre of Excellence.
- Accountable for competently performing assigned project tasks without supervision.
- Work as a member of the client asset management team.
- Responsible for maintaining progress against agreed cost and schedule.
- Able to analyze, diagnose and use project management tools and professional judgement to resolve discreet problems at a project level.
- Appraise the relevant project management focal point of the performance of the project element.
- Work to the project interface document to maintain the alignment of client and Petrofac processes during the project lifecycle.
- Maintain communication with Asset, Engineering, Construction and Commissioning leads where necessary within the project element.
- Support the risk management process during the project.
- Support the management of change process during the project.
- Work to the Project Execution Plan, ensuring compliance and assurance of delivery against the PEP objectives.
- The Project Engineer is accountable for solving short term production issues, delivering trouble shooting support from all Functions to the Operation teams.
- Identify/ address threats and long-term improvement opportunities, working together with the Reliability Engineer and other Functions/disciplines to develop and implement ideas to mitigate threats and realise opportunities.
- Provide a range of support to the operations team, for example: Support in preparing and delivering Statement of Fitness (SOF).
- Line Of Defense 1 assurance support (LOD1: Self-Assessment).
- Prepare and facilitate reviews.
- Support in progressing MOC/FSR/Deviation Management when blockers are identified by the operation teams.
- Liaise with the Functions for the status of Modifications and Projects.
- Organise or lead failure/incident investigations and/or secure input from other Functions for such investigations, for example for process upsets and equipment failures or incidents.
- Provide or arrange Operational input for Maintenance, Projects and Modifications in all phases Initiation, Assess, Select, Define, Execute and Operate/Maintain.
- Support in maintaining/updating the Operations Strategies for the Production Unit.
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives within the PU.
- Go See visits to the PU installations and carry out health checks.
- Working toward a project management qualification (preferred).
- Working toward membership of a relevant institute (preferred).
- Knowledge of project management processes.
- Exposure to on and offshore operations.
- Provide support to the project team and suggest improvements where applicable within the project.
- Strong communicator able to state key project goals and objectives and present them clearly to the project team and stakeholders.
- Able to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate successfully with relevant contacts to influence positive decisions and working methods.
- Ability to support and partake in risk management practices.
- Will have broad project management knowledge and the ability to apply it.
