Role on GP3 on a 12-month fixed term contract
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Committed to incident free operations.
- Actively support a working environment based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues and maintenance of a high level of asset integrity.
- Participate as a member of the Maintenance Superintendents team in delivering NEO Energy’s performance against targets.
- Build effective working relationships with other departments and shifts.
- Raise MR’s in a timely manner and liaise with onshore Materials department as appropriate.
- Ensure correct manifests for air transport.
- Ensure spares requirements are linked to relevant work orders in Maximo.
- Check all materials received including COSHH MSDS sheets & inform relevant departments.
- Coordinate back load requirements & ensure vessel utilisation & adherence to regulations.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate records and ensure that the data is entered into the appropriate information management systems.
- Decision making ability is in accordance with delegation of authority
- Responsible for stock control offshore as directed by the Maintenance Superintendent
- Carries out helideck duties including refueling of helicopters. If qualified, acts as HLO when required.
- Responsible for cleanliness and tidiness of assigned areas.
- Provides a service and assistance to other departments as required.
- Carries out crane duties including deck and supply boat unloading / backloading, as the Banksman Slinger and / or load handler.
- Conducts routine planned maintenance tasks and reports defects, as necessary.
- Conducts lifting and rigging work as and when required.
- Connection and disconnection of Shuttle Tanker mooring and cargo transfer arrangements (FPSO’s only) and emergency towing vessels.
- Execute duties as specified in the station/bill/emergency response procedures or as directed by the OIM.
- Comply with Company procedures and ensure a full and comprehensive handover detailing all relevant information in accordance with these procedures.
- Commit to Competence Assurance System and undertake any training and assessment required for the role.
- Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of crew, and areas of environment pertaining to their position.
- Responsible for the safe operation of general deck, lifting & rigging equipment, as directed by Deck Supervisor
ESSENTIAL QUALITIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Dangerous Goods by Air and Sea certification required.
- Ability to create positive relations to peers and stakeholders internally and externally.
- Knowledge of relevant maintenance, associated technical standards, processes and relevant legislation.
- Experience of maintenance scheduling, organising, coordinating and controlling/monitoring work.
- OPITO approved Banksman Slinger level 3 and Rigging, and Lifting Level 3 required.
- Experience of offshore marine operations/merchant navy background.
- Knowledge of deck operations and associated safe working practices. Tanker Offload experience desirable.
- Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to create positive relations to peers and stakeholders internally and externally.
