We are currently looking for a LGV1 or LGV2 Driver / Operator!
Main Responsibilities- Always ensure compliance with WTD, Drivers Hours laws and RHA Log Books.
- Carry out Daily Walk Around vehicle & equipment checks, report defects and complete paperwork as required.
- Ensure vehicle & equipment fluids are fully topped up as required at the start and end of your shift.
- Ensure barrels, catchment tanks, filters, water tanks are filled, drained, and cleaned accordingly at the start and end of your shift as required.
- Drive and operate all equipment that you are licensed and trained to on your own or as part of a team.
- Carry out manual handling tasks including laying out/taking in and connecting/disconnecting hoses.
- Follow process and procedure for loading/offloading ensuring work area is always safe and tidy.
- Complete internal and legislative paperwork as required for each job.
- Always follow RAMS for all work.
- Ensure vehicle is loaded correctly, securely & within the appropriate weight limits.
- Where trained, you will be expected to carry out Confined Space work as and when required.
- Labouring as part of a squad as and when required.
- Maintain contact with the Operations department throughout your shift to inform of any problems, progress, etc.
- Attend training to maintain and develop business related knowledge and skills.
- Responsible for own health and safety and anyone that may be affected by his / her acts and to participate in any duties that ensure a safe culture.
- Take reasonable care not to put other people - fellow employees and members of the public - at risk by what you do or don't do in the course of your work.
- Follow Andidrain Ltd / Denholm Environmental procedures / instructions on all health, safety, and environmental matters, ensure that all required health, safety and environmental training is carried out and make sure that you understand and follow the company's health, safety and environmental policies.
- Ensure that you do not interfere with or misuse anything that has been provided for your health, safety, or welfare.
- Report hazards and defects observed in the workplace and ensure PPE provided to you is suitable and fit for purpose.
- Report any injuries, strains, or illnesses you suffer as a result of doing your job.
- If you drive or operate machinery, you have a responsibility to advise Management if you take medication that makes you drowsy.
- 35 days annual leave.
