The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
The purpose of this role is to provide support to the fleet. This involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility plant and equipment to ensure smooth running of the fleet on a daily basis.
Specific Accountabilities
- Routine maintenance to maintain roadworthiness of all applicable fleet, including 6-weekly inspections and MOT preparation and presentation for all applicable fleet.
- Fleet checks including defect monitoring.
- Maintenance and repair of vans, plant and associated equipment.
- On site and roadside response.
- Welding & fabrication work.
- Purchase, care and maintenance of stock, tools & workshop equipment.
- Required to be available for on-call duties as per company rota.
- Maintain a clean workshop.
- Provide training on the use and care of vehicles and equipment to employees.
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- You will be required to work additional hours at short notice and be flexible in your start time as necessitated by the needs of the business.
- You will be expected to be flexible and to carry out all reasonable duties as part of the job, as and when required.
- There is an on call rota in place and you would be expected to participate in the rota (additional payment for this).

- High degree of attention to detail regarding vehicle road worthiness and DVSA standards.

- Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks.
- Must be able to work in the UK, e.g. fall within the European Economic Union, hold the necessary work permits or have the right of abode, evidence of which must be supplied.
Training & Qualifications
- Level 3 NVQ Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence.
- Time served experience is essential.
- Full driving licence is essential.
- LGV Class 1 is desirable.
