Operations Co‑ordinator
The main purpose of this role is to provide business and site support to the Operations team on‑site in completion of all daily requirements, primarily focusing on the office support for the delivery of On‑Site Machining solutions at our client’s location in Barrow in Furness.
Overall, this role will be based primarily at our client site but may on occasion involve working on other customer sites.
Main tasks
- General administration tasks, including data entry, filing and answering calls.
- Communicating effectively with internal colleagues to support the service delivery team
- Assist with the day‑to‑day allocation of technicians as per company requirements ensuring all movements are updated on Solab.
- SHE documentation and compiling job packs.
- Assist with the processing of timesheets and expenses.
- Liaise with the various departments/contacts within the company to ensure the smooth flow of information for operation planning purposes.
- Assisting to deal with customer queries and follow through with any requirements or requests.
- Material purchasing/planning/inventory/management/supply chain activities in accordance with company requirements.
- Assist with project communication and documentation regarding status of products.
- Assisting with security clearances such as site passes, visitor requests, vehicle passes, escort etc.
- Liaising with training manager to ensure technician competences and verifications are completed.
- Raising purchase requisitions.
- Liaise with client projects to plan in activities.
- Forecasting machining activities on‑site.
- Booking meetings and Updating registers.
- Filing and scanning of documentation.
- Entering data and maintaining records in SAP.
- Entering data onto in‑house systems/drives/files.
- To provide cover and support for other roles within the support team, i. e Site Supervisor/Manager
Key responsibilities
- Site business support tasks in accordance with MOSS and client Procedures and Processes.
- Work together with the Operations Support team to arrange dispatch of sales within the required timescales, to ensure a smooth and efficient process is followed within the team.
- Assist with day‑to‑day allocation of technicians as per company requirements ensuring all movements are updated in Solab.
- Key results
- Ensuring that all relevant work tasks and qualifications are achieved on time, as instructed by both your line manager.
- Accurate production of client documentation.
- Efficient coordination and arranging of the dispatch of sales within requires timescales.
