About PetLabCo.

PetLabCo.® is the world leader in DTC pet supplements, with nine-figure revenue and ambitious plans for continued global expansion. We make science-backed supplements, health care and treats that millions of dog owners love, powered by a performance marketing engine spending at serious scale across paid social and beyond. Behind that engine we're building a brand that dog owners recognise and trust, which is what turns a strong first purchase into a long relationship. Our team is vibrant, fast moving and customer obsessed. High performers are valued here and they're rewarded, which makes this the ideal place for an ambitious, hardworking animal lover who wants to move their career forward quickly.

About the role…

Positioned within the Growth department, we move fast, test constantly and we're aggressively integrating AI across our entire growth stack. This is a senior role that asks for comfort with both strategic direction and hands-on execution. You'll own a complex, always-on trading and optimisation programme, balancing the immediate performance opportunities against the longer-term initiatives that compound value. Thriving here means knowing when to zoom out to shape direction and when to dive deep to drive the outcome.

Reporting to the founder, you'll lead the scope and delivery of our DTC growth roadmap across the US, Canada and UK. You'll be accountable for end-to-end performance, keeping strategy and optimisation tightly connected and commercially impactful.

What you'll own…

  • Experimentation at scale - Experimentation is our decision engine here and not just a side project. You'll use data, insight and structured testing to shape the roadmap, prioritise opportunities and prove impact. Deep experience designing, running and scaling experiments in a live trading environment is essential.
  • Product and optimisation through a trading lens - You'll set the top standard for on-site customer experience, with expert ownership of suggested change requests designed to improve the customer experience and drive revenue. We treat the site as a trading floor, not a static asset.
  • Optimising for LTV:CAC - As a subscription-led business we optimise for profitable long-term lifetime value, not just short-term wins. You'll treat LTV:CAC as the real measure of ROI, which asks for a genuine understanding of the full customer journey and strong analytical capability.
  • Growth marketing and landing page optimisation - You'll bring real fluency in growth marketing mechanics and proven experience optimising landing pages in a paid social environment, with an eye for operational efficiency as well as top-line growth. That said, it won't just be that. As a hands-on role, you'll also own other areas of the experience that support acquisition and retention.
  • Data and funnel fluency - You'll be highly data literate, with funnel dynamics and best practice CRO as a second language.
  • Leading the team - You'll inherit a high performing, driven and ambitious team, with each person owning their own product area. Your job is to drive performance while keeping them engaged and happy, leading through enablement and encouragement and leaving them empowered to succeed.

Your day to day will look a little like this:

  • Monitor growth metrics and business performance, turning what you see into clear recommendations and action.
  • Get into the pages themselves, assessing journeys and interrogating funnel behaviour to understand why the numbers move, not just that they did.
  • Handle the commercial side of ecommerce, from pricing assessments and promo opportunities to the risks that need spotting and acting on.
  • Lead multiple growth projects from first idea through to delivery, making sure they land what they set out to.
  • Move comfortably between short term trading wins and longer term strategic growth.
  • Own initiatives end to end, covering sprint planning, briefs, measurement and the decision that follows.
  • Make the prioritisation calls, reading workload across departments and deciding what moves first.
  • Work closely with UX and Design, Product Delivery, Engineering, Compliance and Data.
  • Partner with Marketing on audience shaping, spotting where the real opportunities sit.
  • Build new landing page templates to serve those audiences and keep the funnel fresh.
  • Stay close to industry trends, emerging tech and best practice in CRO, keeping tooling under review and hunting out efficiencies.
  • Run one to ones that cover performance honestly and coach your team forward.

How we work..

You'll drive efficiency across technology teams and sprint planned workflows. AI is becoming second nature to how we work, and the quality of its output across our operating model matters as much as the business performance it delivers. We're looking for someone with the appetite and experience to nurture and grow that operating flow, applying AI across Growth while supporting Tech, Data and UX Design, and working closely with other department heads to step change what we can deliver together.

Requirements

What you need:

  • Real understanding of growth marketing mechanics with paid social at scale.
  • Demonstratable experience optimising landing pages and presell journeys for paid traffic sources.
  • A strong eye for direct response copy, knowing what makes a hook land and a page convert.
  • Ownership of the on-site shopping experience and product detail page performance.
  • Deep command of end-to-end trading metrics: CAC, conversion rate, AOV, acquisition mix and LTV.
  • Proven track record optimising for LTV:CAC in a subscription or repeat purchase business, not just first order performance.
  • Extensive experience in trading and optimisation, growing lifetime value through experimentation, experience improvements and data driven prioritisation.
  • Extensive experience with A/B, MVT and split URL testing, with genuine statistical rigour and a firm grasp of best practice.
  • Hands on with testing platforms such as Optimizely, Adobe Target, VWO and Webtrends Optimize.
  • Confident discovering and prioritising opportunities from both quantitative and qualitative insight.
  • Fluent in funnel dynamics and best practice CRO. This should feel like a second language.
  • Proficient with analytics and behavioural tools such as Google Analytics, FullStory, Hotjar, Glassbox and Contentsquare.
  • Solid grounding in core UX principles to support ideation and insight led solution design.
  • Experience leading and growing a team, driving performance while keeping people engaged and empowered.
  • Strong end to end product delivery, from roadmapping and sprint planning through to release, using Jira to define requirements across design, development, copy and compliance.
  • Clear, objective driven briefs for design and copy, grounded in trading priorities, data and research.
  • Excellent communication and genuine empathy, so you can bring teams and stakeholders with you.
  • Confident project management and resource planning.
  • Practical experience applying AI to growth workflows, not just curiosity about it.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS and basic web development principles.
