About PetLabCo.
PetLabCo. is the world leader in DTC pet supplements with a 9-figure revenue, profitable and rapidly growing with ambitious plans for global expansion. We have a loyal community of loving pet parents and over 5 million happy dogs whose lives have been positively impacted by our innovative products. Our team is vibrant, fast-moving, and customer-driven where high-performers are valued and rewarded. And it is the ideal place for an ambitious, hardworking, animal lover who wants to progress their career rapidly.
Amazon is one of our most important growth engines. We’re looking for a senior, hands-on Amazon Ads specialist to own paid media across our marketplace channels, starting with Amazon and expanding across Walmart, Chewy and other marketplaces over time.
This is a senior role. You will own strategy and execution across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and potentially DSP, working closely with Marketplace, Retail, Creative, Brand and Analytics teams.
The Role
As PPC Lead, Marketplaces, you will own all paid media activity across our marketplace channels, with Amazon Ads as your primary platform. You’ll be the strategic and hands-on driver of how we plan, execute, optimise, and scale paid investment on Amazon (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display), as well as on other marketplaces (Walmart/Chewy) as our footprint scales. This is an individual contributor role for a senior, hands-on operator. You’ll work cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Retail, and Analytics teams, and be trusted to set the agenda for marketplace paid media at PetLab Co.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning
- Own the paid media strategy for Amazon and other marketplaces, aligned to category, brand, and revenue targets.
- Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and channel mix across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and potentially DSP.
- Define KPIs (ROAS, TACoS, NTB%, share of voice, incrementality) and the operating cadence used to track them.
- Campaign Management & Optimisation
- Plan, launch, and continuously optimise PPC campaigns across our full Amazon catalogue - keyword strategy, bid management, targeting, dayparting, placements.
- Run a structured experimentation roadmap (A/B tests on creative, bidding, targeting, landing pages) and convert learnings into scaled wins.
- Partner with the Retail team on listing quality, pricing, promotions, and inventory health to maximise paid efficiency.
- Creative & Content
- Brief, review, and iterate on paid creative - Sponsored Brands video, Stores, A+ content, DSP display - in partnership with our in-house Creative team.
- Translate performance data into clear creative learnings and feed them back into the testing roadmap.
- Reporting & Insight
- Build and maintain reporting that tells a clear story: where investment is working, where it isn’t, and what we should do about it.
- Surface insights to senior leadership weekly and connect marketplace performance back to the wider growth picture.
- Cross-Channel Collaboration
- Work closely with DTC paid media, retention and brand to ensure marketplace investment is coordinated with full-funnel growth, not siloed.
- Be a credible internal voice on Amazon, including for new launches, regional expansion, and category growth.
Requirements
This is a senior role and we’re looking for 5+ years of relevant experience. Specifically, you’ll likely have:
- Demonstrable ownership of significant Amazon Ads budgets at scale, ideally in a high-growth consumer brand or top-tier agency.
- Deep, hands-on expertise across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display; comfort with Amazon DSP is strongly preferred.
- A strong track record of moving the metrics that matter - ROAS, TACoS, profitability, share of voice - not just managing campaigns to brief.
- Experience briefing and iterating on creative, and a clear point of view on what good marketplace creative looks like.
- Fluency in performance reporting and analytics; comfortable in Amazon Ads Console, Seller/Vendor Central, and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar). SQL is a plus, not a must.
- A self-starter mindset - you can set the strategy, do the work, and bring others with you without needing a team underneath you.
- Strong commercial instincts: you understand margin, contribution, and how paid media plumbs into a P&L.
- Exposure to full-funnel and omnichannel growth - paid social, paid search, retail media networks (Walmart Connect, Instacart, Target Roundel, etc.), CTV, or affiliate.
Nice to Have
- Experience with international marketplace expansion (EU, CA, US).
- Background in pet, health & wellness, beauty, or supplements categories.
- Familiarity with incrementality testing and MMM/attribution methodologies.
Benefits
- Private Health Care through Vitality
- Generous Annual Leave - 28 days + public and bank holidays
- Help@Hand – Employee Assistance Programme
- Royal London Pension Scheme – We offer a workplace pension scheme with one of the UK’s leading providers of group pensions. With an employer contribution of 5%!
- Enhanced Maternity / Paternity / Adoption Leave – because time with new family members is important!

- Discount Vouchers & Gym Memberships – get discounts at a whole range of retailers and gym memberships through our provider, WellHub.
- Electric Vehicle Scheme – Employees sacrifice salary in return for a new electric car, typically saving 30-40% of costs through income and tax and national insurance.
- Give Back Day – An extra day off in the year to volunteer plus a £50 contribution to your chosen charity.
- Health Cash Benefit – We offer the bronze package which enables you to claim a certain amount of cashback when you pay for something that is health related, i.e dental.
