Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong understanding in Early Years. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children. Your role will involve engaging with children, assisting in their development, and collaborating with other staff members to provide high-quality childcare.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintaining a clean, organised environment.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
- Observe and monitor children\'s progress, providing feedback to senior staff as needed.
- Help maintain records of children\'s development and any incidents that may occur.
- Drive initiatives that encourage children\'s social skills and emotional growth through play-based learning.
Requirements
- Previous experience in childcare is preferred.
- Must be available Monday - Friday from 7:30-6pm as shifts will change weekly.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and understanding their developmental needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
- A valid driving licence would be great but not essential
- A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
