An opportunity has arisen for a Vessel Mooring Operative (VMO) based at our Aberdeen Quayside. The VMO is responsible for all tie‑up, berthing and let‑go of vessels in accordance with Peterson policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant company work instructions for each job function.
- Plan and organise all berthing operations, adapting to changing priorities.
- Execute tie‑up, berthing and let‑go of vessels safely and efficiently.
- Promote good team working and maintain excellent communication with staff and customers.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience of quayside operations, including berthing and mooring operations.
- Good communication skills and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- High awareness of health and safety.
- OPITO Banksman Slinger and RTITB Forklift certificates are desirable.
