Overview
We currently have vacancy for a Base Operative to support operations at our Heysham facility.
Responsibilities
- Load and discharge trailers and containers
- Carry out lifting operations
- Check materials and maintain yard and warehouse cleanliness
- Support the duty call out rota (1 week out of 3)
- Demonstrate a focus on delivering good customer service and a commitment to health and safety
- Maintain clear communication in this safety critical role
- Operate a forklift up to 12 tonnes in a similar role
- Support SAP and stock checking (desirable but not essential)
Qualifications
- Experience operating a forklift up to 12 tonnes and working in a similar role
- OPITO approved Banksman/Slinger certificate is highly desirable
