We are looking for a Finance Director to join the Senior Management Team. They will be responsible for overseeing the company's finances; helping shape strategy; ensuring compliance and guiding the CEO and Board's decision-making. They will be responsible for the effective delivery of all aspects of the Financial and Operational support functions of the organisation.

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Finance Director will actively collaborate with and support colleagues within the Senior Management Team to drive organisational success and generate income through effective, strong and supportive leadership. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic individual to make their mark in informing the company strategy and the financial and operational management of the organisation. The role requires someone who is solution orientated and detail focused whilst also providing strategic direction to the CEO and the Board.

Key responsibilities
  • FINANCE
    • Financial strategy - Provision of robust financial leadership through timely and relevant financial advice, to support and ensure the company meets all of its financial goals.
    • Working with the Senior Management Team and Board in the building of organisational resilience.
    • Ability to work at Board/Non-Executive level and provide relevant, quality information and reporting.
    • Supporting organisational structure and governance development to ensure optimisation of opportunity realisation and threat mitigation.
    • Provision of accurate, relevant and timely data.
    • Interpretation of complex financial data and provision of timely recommendations as and when required.
    • Effective long-range planning (business/operational and financial).
  • Finance Operations
    • Oversee and manage all aspects of the financial operations for the Group and ensuring all are undertaken effectively and appropriately and on a timely basis, ensuring that the company's financial practices comply with all statutory regulations and legislation.
    • Maintain and strengthen, as required, financial controls to safeguard the organisation's financial resources and ensure accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency.
    • Preparation of the Annual company budget with the Senior Management Team, for Board approval.
    • Provision of long-range Financial planning and projections in line with Business and Operational plans.
    • Provision of quality and timely Management reporting to support informed decision making.
    • Financial Reporting and Audit – preparation of statutory accounts and management of Annual Audit.
  • OPERATIONS
    • Responsible for the delivery and management of all aspects of Operations, across HR, IT, Office and Premises Management, facilitation of legal advice and all related activities.
    • Ensuring adherence at all times to all relevant laws and regulations in the development, management and implementation of all company policies and processes.
    • Provision of timely support and advice to the CEO, Senior Management and Board, in relation to these areas.
    • Active focus on system, process and service enhancement across all areas of responsibility.
    • Effective relationship and delivery management of key service providers across all areas of responsibility.
  • ROYALTIES
    • Oversee and support all aspects of activity, to ensure the function operates efficiently, transparently and to the highest professional standards.
  • INCOME GENERATION
    • Actively support income generation and optimisation of commercial opportunities.
    • Provision of industry/market trends analysis to inform development of short/medium/long term plans.
    • Provision of appropriate assessment tools to evaluate viability of identified opportunities.
  • GOVERNANCE
    • Provision of organisational appropriate risk and opportunity monitoring framework to support Senior Management Team in delivering organisational resilience.
    • Development of appropriate and timely analysis/reporting on operational performance.
    • Company Secretarial Services - Management of all Company Secretarial duties for the Group.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
  • Qualified accountant (UK).
  • Excellent analytical skills and exceptional numerical proficiency.

The office is in a Central London location, and this will be a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the office at least three days a week, with the option to work remotely for two.
