Deputy Manager needed for an EBD Children's Home in Worthing. Perfect opportunity for someone already working as a Deputy or for an experienced Senior to step up. You will work alongside the Home Manager to support and supervise a team of Residential and Senior Residential Support Workers to provide quality care to looked-after children. You will be able to lead, motivate and enhance the skills of your team and be able to model professionalism and leadership skills. The young people display complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and associated challenging behaviours, and need guidance to develop their independence skills and ability to integrate into society. You will be confident and able to step into the manager's shoes in their absence.
The Deputy Manager role will include:
- Support the Registered Manager in the daily running of the home
- Lead shifts and supervise staff team members
- Promote safeguarding and ensure children's welfare is protected
- Support care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management
- Build positive relationships with young people and support their development
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and company policies
- Maintain accurate records and reports
