As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a key role within the leadership team, working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home runs smoothly and, most importantly, that every young person receives the high-quality, personalised care and support they deserve. Your Role Working alongside the Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day operation of the home and ensure young people receive outstanding care and support. Your responsibilities will include: * Supporting the Manager with the overall management and development of the home. * Leading, supporting and mentoring the care team to maintain a positive and high-performing environment. * Working collaboratively with families, schools, professionals and external agencies. * Supporting personalised care plans and ensuring interventions achieve positive outcomes. * Promoting safeguarding, regulatory compliance and high standards of care. * Contributing to staff development, training, supervision and performance management. * Supporting resource planning, budgets and the effective running of the home. * Keeping up to date with legislation, research and best practice within children's residential care. About You We’re looking for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people and has the experience and leadership skills to support a successful residential home. You will ideally have: * A Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People’s Workforce or Health & Social Care. * Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with challenging behaviour, EBD or SEMH needs. * A good understanding of safeguarding, legislation, policies and procedures relevant to children’s residential care. * Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. * The ability to motivate, lead and support a team. * A flexible, positive approach and the confidence to work in a fast-paced environment.
